“De l’Europe au Caucase: Un destin luxembourgeois au début du siècle des guerres” (2017)

“Result of the collaboration of a composer and an arranger, this programmatic music with autonomous and evocative themes composed on the piano summons different episodes of a turbulent history set at the beginning of the twentieth century between Europe and the Caucasus. The arrangement for string quartet then magnifies the compositions to follow literally a dynamic and original narrative, all creating a dramaturgical osmosis of a rare and exceptional artistic quality.”

Based on an abundant family archive of photographs and other letters, enriched with paintings and maps to better decorate the scene, this film offers the fluid narrative of an individual trajectory yet hit. World War I that separates a couple, Bolshevik Revolution that requires the flight, fall and new flight to Poland, died, finally, a Luxembourg oil engineer who has witnessed a beginning of the century so hectic.
